SaaS questions, answered

Can creators earn a share of recurring revenue?

Yes. A revenue-share reward pays a percentage of every subscription payment, for as many months as you choose or the customer's lifetime. One-time payments can earn commission too.

Our signup is in the app, not on the site. Does attribution still work?

Yes. rally.js saves the referral on your root domain, so a signup in your app is credited to the creator whose link brought them to your site. Report the signup with one line in the browser, or from your backend with an API key.

What if a customer pays weeks after signing up?

Once an account is tied to a creator, later payments attribute through it, including renewals and upgrades. The referral cookie lasts 90 days by default, and you can change it.

Do we have to use Stripe?

No. Stripe connects with one webhook, including Checkout and Payment Links. Any other billing system reports sales to the tracking API with an API key.

What happens when a customer refunds?

Commissions not yet paid out are voided. Each program sets a holding period before new earnings can be paid, and how refunds after a payout are treated.

Can we reward creators with our product instead of cash?

Yes: product credits, a free subscription, demo access or promo codes, granted when a creator publishes, finishes a learning path, or on an event you send.
